Welcome to Hopzle! This guide will help you get the most out of our automated video editing toolkit

for gamers, streamers, and content creators.

Step 1: Create an Account

If you haven't already, sign up for a Hopzle account. This will give you access to all features and your personal dashboard.

Step 2: Get Familiar with Carrots

Carrots are our in-app currency that power the video processing. Check out the Carrot Guide below to learn more.

Step 3: Upload Your First Video

Head to the Upload page to process your first gameplay video. Make sure to use your exact in-game name.

HOW DO CARROTS WORK?

How do I get carrots?

๐Ÿฅ• 1. Free carrots are available daily. Harvest them from the My Carrots page.

Remember - Buying carrots helps cover costs run the app, servers, and support the development of new features. Content creation shouldn't be hard, it should be fun!

How to Upload

  1. Go to the Upload page
  2. Enter your exact in-game name (this is crucial for detection)
  3. Select your gameplay video file
  4. Choose which types of clips to detect (kills, deaths, or both)
  5. Adjust the time settings for each clip type if needed
  6. Click "Process Video" to start
  7. Be patient - processing can take some time if the video is long or has a large file size

Tips

  • For best results, use gameplay footage with clear kill/death indicators
  • Longer videos will require more carrots to process

๐Ÿงฉ Merging Clips

Creating Compilation Videos

After processing your gameplay footage, you can combine your best clips into compilation videos:

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Click the "Add to Queue" button on clips you want to include
  3. Arrange the clips in your desired order in the Merge Queue by dragging them
  4. Add optional intro, outro, or watermark if you've uploaded them in your profile page
  5. Click "Perform Merge" to create your compilation

Pro Tips

  • You can drag clips in the merge queue to reorder them
  • Custom intros, outros, and watermarks can be uploaded in your profile settings
  • Merging clips costs 1 carrot, regardless of how many clips you merge

Adding Personal Touch

Personalize your clips with custom elements:

  1. Go to your Profile
  2. Scroll to the "Video Customization" section
  3. Upload your intro video, outro video, and/or watermark image and click save
  4. These will be available when merging clips

Recommended Formats

  • Intros/Outros: MP4 format, 5-10 seconds long
  • Watermarks: PNG with transparency, it will be positioned in the bottom right corner
  • Keep file sizes reasonable for faster processing

โ“ Frequently Asked Questions

Why wasn't my kill/death detected?

The most common reason is that your in-game name doesn't exactly match what you entered. Other factors could include unusual game settings or custom HUD elements that obscure the kill feed.

How many carrots do I need?

Each carrot processes 1 minute of gameplay footage. For example, a 30-minute video would require 30 carrots to process.

Can I process videos from any game?

Currently, Hopzle is optimized for Population: ONE. Support for additional games is coming soon!

How do I get more carrots?

You can claim free carrots daily, purchase carrot bundles, or occasionally receive gift codes through our Discord community.
